Danny Fuqua exemplifies servant leadership, seamlessly bridging the worlds of faith, service, finance, and community advancement. A retired U.S. Army veteran, Co-Pastor, financial advisor, and passionate advocate for change, Danny’s life journey—from Edwards, Mississippi to the heart of Daytona Beach—is a powerful testimony of purpose, resilience, and impact.
With a 29-year military career that includes a combat tour in Iraq (2010–2011), Danny has been decorated for his dedication to service, earning accolades such as the Florida Commendation Medal and the Humanitarian Medal Award from the Department of the Army.
Danny’s pursuit of knowledge is equally inspiring. He holds an A.S. from Vincent University, a Diploma in Practical Theology, a B.S. in Business Administration, and an MBA from Liberty University. His leadership continues in his role as Co-Pastor of Word And Praise Family Church, Inc., where he serves alongside his wife, Apostle Dr. Muriel Fuqua, nurturing a thriving faith community and a loving family that includes two children and three grandchildren.
Beyond ministry, Danny is a dedicated financial educator and entrepreneur, passionate about economic empowerment through homeownership, debt elimination, and financial literacy. His practical workshops on budgeting and money management have transformed countless lives.
A pillar in civic and social leadership, Danny serves as:
Co-Chairman, Midtown Redevelopment Board (City of Daytona Beach)
President, Black Pilots of America – Robert B. Griffin Chapter
Active Member, OBAP and Daytona Aviation Flight Academy
President, Volusia County Democratic Veterans Caucus

He is also a former candidate for Volusia County Council, District 2, and continues to shape local policy through active engagement in city and county meetings. Currently pursuing his private pilot license, Danny never stops growing.
Whether in a pulpit, a boardroom, or a community hall, Danny Fuqua leads with purpose, humility, and a deep love for people. He lives by the principle: “Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.”
